Mr. Roboto
"Mr. Roboto" (named by by daughter, after
listening to too much Styx), is a 40 lb remote presence robot, operated via
a remote client via Sockets using our home 802.11 network.

Mr. Roboto Design
Mr. Roboto was started back in 2001. He uses a laptop talking USB to an 8051 processor.
The 8051 is programmed in assembly (because I was too cheap to buy a C
compiler). The initial software for Mr. Roboto was the foundation
for all the other robots that followed.
