BugBot

"BugBot" is a 6 - legged (Hexapod) robot.  It has 13 servos controlled by a PIC processor.  The PIC is controlled by an iPaq, mounted on the top.  BugBot uses the same base software as my other robots, including the ability to do remote control and diagnostics over 802.11.

BugBot Design

BugBot is built on top of LynxMotion Hexapod chassis, with a custom reinforced legs to make it more sturdy.  However, I have never been satisfied with the sturdiness of the frame, so need to do some more work here.

The iPaq talks to a PIC processor, mounted on the great Mark III controller board, via Serial cable.  The PIC is programmed using the CCS C compiler, and the iPaq software is written using Visual C++.
